How we research

The Madrid Ramen Guide is produced through documentary research. The editorial team does not make in-person visits or tastings.

Official sources

We consult menus, restaurant websites, information published by the establishments themselves and relevant food documentation.

Independent sources

We also examine specialist publications and public accounts when they can be cross-checked. A single opinion is not presented as fact.

Editorial analysis

We compare each proposal, ramen styles, specialities, history and the information available. Our conclusions are editorial readings of those materials, not first-hand experiences.

Transparency and limits

Profiles bring together public information and editorial analysis; we do not attach a source citation to every sentence. When a relevant detail cannot be confirmed, we mark it as unverified or leave it out. We do not invent ingredients, prices, techniques or assessments.

Updates and corrections

Restaurant information can change. We review profiles as new information becomes available. We welcome factual corrections from establishments; correcting a fact does not mean transferring editorial judgement.

This page describes the guide’s editorial method. It does not promise a fixed review schedule.
